What will a single crossing cost?

Prices have not been fixed yet, but the financial calculations were done on the basis of the cost of using the ferry in 2007.

Legislative basis
Does the EU support the project?

The EU has already granted around Euro 339 million to cover the period from 2007 until 2013. Futher grants are expected for the construction period.

The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link
Femern A/S is tasked with designing and planning of a fixed link between Denmark and Germany across the Fehmarnbelt. Femern A/S is a subsidiary of the Danish, state-owned Sund & Bælt
Holding A/S, which has experience from the construction of the fixed links across the Great Belt
and the Øresund.
