Possible construction sites

This section shows some of the overall expected requirements and possible layouts of the construction sites on land near Rødbyhavn and near Puttgarden that will be necessary when the construction of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link begins.

You can find information on possible construction sites under Possible production sites.

A construction site is the area where the tunnel or bridge comes ashore on Fehmarn and Lolland. It comprises both the actual structure – road and rail from the ramp area to the hinterland connections – as well as local sites and working harbours that have to be placed in connection to the alignment.

This section only covers theoretical layouts of construction sites for the ramp area on the islands of Fehmarn and Lolland. No decisions about alignment, place or design of the actual construction sites have been made yet.

Figures, text and drawings are for illustrative purposes only. The content neither expresses nor affects the final choice of alignment or the design of a bridge or tunnel.

Basis for this section is the report ‘Outline of possible construction sites – Puttgarden and Rødbyhavn’. You can find a PDF-version here. The paper has been prepared on the basis of the experiences from similar major construction projects around the world, including the Øresund and Great Belt projects.
