STRING (Southwestern Baltic Sea TransRegional Area – Inventing New Geography)

Destination Fehmarnbelt is an EU INTERREG project that aims to promote the Fehmarnbelt region as a transborder destination for leisure and business tourism for both Danish and German visitors. The project partners responsible are Ostsee-Holstein-Tourismus e.V. and Østdansk Turisme.
Femern Belt Logistics has created a logistical platform to establish multiple strong networks of cooperation in the logistics sector and identify cooperation possibilities in the Femern Belt region as a direct result of the fixed link expected to be ready in 2021.
The Femern Belt Logistics will ensure that the fixed link - when ready in 2021 - will be the logi(sti)cal gateway to and from the continent.

Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link Dialogue Forum

The Dialogue Forum was established in 2011 by the federal state government of Schleswig-Holstein. Its task is to follow, in a transparent manner, the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link project and the landworks on the German side and to create a means of citizen participation through the exchange of information between members. In addition to the project proponents, the federal state government and the Ostholstein District, the Dialogue Forum includes representatives of various local and regional players such as citizens' initiatives, municipalities and cities, chambers of commerce, trade unions, business and farmers' associations and tourist boards.
