Femern A/S is aware that the construction and operation of infrastructural projects of the size of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link will have effects on the environment. Negative effects on the environment will be avoided or minimised as far as possible.

Moreover, the positive experience gained from the construction of the fixed links across Storebælt and Øresund will also be used to further optimise the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link project. On those occasions, it proved possible to minimise environmental conflicts or even to avoid them through careful and diligent planning and execution of works.

On this page you can learn about the project's effects on the environment. You can also find information on the extensive investigations we have conducted.
