Why a fixed link? What do I get out of it?
Updated September 25 2012

A fixed and direct link between Scandinavia and Central Europe has been an enduring vision for many decades. This vision is now about to be realised in that the link that will cross the approx. 19 km wide Fehmarnbelt between Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden is due to open to traffic in 2021.

By uniting the populations in areas such as science, business, the labour market and culture, it will promote the continuous integration of Europe.

On this page we inform you about the reasons and arguments for a fixed link between Germany and Denmark.
